On Tuesday, January 30th 2018, a new and open-source framework for the development and administration of the media assets that comprise scalable training will be announced at The Training, Learning, & Development Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the result of efforts over the last several months involving input from a diverse array of some of the brightest minds in L&D from across 3 continents.
The Digital Learning Asset Framework is a complete re-thinking of why we make media for training and how we can better manage them over time. Rather than summarizing and categorizing the training assets that already exist, this is a wholly new approach created specifically for a refined set of digital learning assets that conform to a higher standard. The framework is designed to be extensible, and will be released under Creative Commons license (Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International) to be freely shared and iterated by everyone.
In the coming weeks, more information will be available on this website. And on February 28th, 2018 we will lead a one-hour webinar via Training MagNetwork that provides additional details about how you can use this framework in your own organization.
